SORIN IONESCU

Sorin Ionescu is a Civil Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Construction and over 25 years of experience in contract management.

He has extensive expertise across multiple contract forms, with a strong focus on FIDIC Forms of Contract. Sorin has more than 20 years of experience in project management for projects financed by European Commission funding instruments, including ISPA, Cohesion Fund and European Regional Development Fund, as well as projects financed through international financial institutions such as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and other similar bodies.

His professional background is strongly linked to major international infrastructure projects, mainly in the fields of roads and motorways, national road rehabilitation, bypasses, railway development and renewal, as well as real estate and industrial buildings.

Sorin is recognized for his analytical thinking and structured problem-solving approach. He maintains clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, employers and public authorities. His leadership style is defined by integrity, resilience, confidence and empathy, combined with the ability to motivate teams and communicate efficiently at all management levels.
