Establishment of TE&A

Techno Engineering & Associates was founded in July 2004 by two highly experienced and accomplished civil engineers, contract and claims experts, Eng. Eugenia Duncă and Eng. Giovanni Di Folco. They had observed that many contractors with good merits in defence of the poor status of their projects, were suffering losses with little or no means of recovery available to them. This prompted them to consider setting up the firm, which had been their vision for some time. After researching the Romanian and Eastern European construction industry, they assessed that with relevance to the Romanian market, there was a dearth of specialized consulting services to support contracting parties’ interests. The first clientele were acquaintances of the owners and the early successes of TE&A soon earned the firm a prestigious reputation which soon developed into the niche market whereby the firm was in a position to expand to provide the visionary one-stop-shop approach, by having developed its own legal, contracts, planning and quantum departments, which has proven to be the keystone of its success.

International Growth

In October 2011 TE&A, opened its first branch office outside Romania in Sofia, Bulgaria, which was followed soon after by the opening of its offices in Doha, Qatar in July 2012. This was a strategic move in order to expand into the Middle East at an opportune time when growth in Qatar was nearing its peak and at the same time Dubai was quickly emerging from its former economic difficulties.

As part of its continuing expansion plans, TE&A aims to open offices in other strategic venues in the near future.

International Recognition

After winning numerous awards in Romania over the years, in 2013 TE&A were awarded the Business Initiative Directions (BID) World Quality Commitment Award in Paris, which prestigiously marked and formalised the degree of international recognition that TE&A has deservedly achieved in quality of its services.

Present

The quality services provided by TE&A have been immediately recognized by its clients and its services are in continuous demand. As a consequence, the company’s expansion plans are progressing with little or no paralleled competition.

At present TE&A employs more than 100 full-time personnel in three different countries comprising highly qualified professionals from a mix of nationalities, specifically trained in the various disciplines of the construction industry, construction law and contracts management and administration, who are able to resolve any form of difficulties, disputes and technical matters that may arise within the international construction arena.
